1. Agreement
FlowShot ("the extension") is published by FlowShot ("we", "us"). By installing or using FlowShot you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the extension, or remove it from Chrome.
2. Your licence to use FlowShot
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use FlowShot on devices you control, for your own purposes — including at work and for commercial projects. You may not:
- sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the extension itself;
- remove or alter FlowShot's name, logo or notices inside the extension;
- reverse-engineer the extension except where the law expressly allows it;
- use the extension to build a product that misrepresents itself as FlowShot.
Guides you create with FlowShot are not covered by these restrictions — see the next section.
3. Your guides and content
Everything you capture, write or export with FlowShot belongs to you. We claim no rights in your guides, screenshots or annotations, and because the extension stores them only on your device we never have a copy.
You are responsible for the content of your guides and for who you share them with. In particular:
- make sure you are allowed to record and share the screens you capture — for example under your employer's policies or a customer's confidentiality terms;
- review screenshots for personal or confidential information before sharing, and use the Blur tool where needed;
- keep in mind that a
.flowshot.jsonbackup contains unblurred originals.
Exported guides may carry a small "Made with FlowShot" line. You may remove it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use FlowShot to:
- record people or systems without the authorisation you need;
- capture, store or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing or harmful;
- interfere with the Chrome Web Store, other extensions or the websites you record;
- circumvent security or access controls on any website.
5. Privacy
FlowShot does not collect personal data. How the extension handles data on your device is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Updates and availability
Updates are delivered through the Chrome Web Store and may be installed automatically by Chrome. We may add, change or remove features. We will describe notable changes in the changelog. We may stop publishing FlowShot at any time; any version already installed will keep working on your device, and your guides remain in your storage and in any files you have exported.
7. No warranty
FlowShot is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the extension will work with every website, that captures will be complete or accurate, or that it will be free from errors. Keep backups of guides that matter to you — the FlowShot backup export exists for exactly that reason.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use FlowShot. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the extension, which for the free version is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Third-party software
FlowShot is built with open-source components, each of which is covered by its own licence. Those licences are listed in the extension package and, where they require it, in the extension's "About" information. Chrome and the Chrome Web Store are provided by Google under Google's own terms.
10. Ending the agreement
You can end this agreement at any time by removing FlowShot from Chrome. Removing the extension deletes its local storage, so export any guides you want to keep first. We may end your licence if you breach these terms. Sections 3, 7, 8 and 12 survive termination.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and record the change in the changelog. Continuing to use FlowShot after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you are entitled to where you live.
