Three beats. You only have to do the first one by hand — the other two start from a guide that's already finished.

01 · CAPTURE

Capture naturally.

Open the side panel, press Start capture, and do the task the way you always do. FlowShot watches one tab and nothing else.

  • Every click and typed field becomes a step with a screenshot
  • The element you clicked is highlighted automatically
  • Pause, resume, or discard at any point
02 · EDIT

Edit with context.

The guide opens already written. One outline on the left, readable instructions in the middle, and a generous screenshot canvas — change only what you want to.

  • Drag steps to reorder, add or trash a step
  • Click any instruction to rewrite it in place
  • Autosave: Saving… → Saved locally
03 · SHARE

Share deliberately.

Preview the guide exactly as a reader will see it, then export a format that fits where it's going. Nothing is uploaded to do it.

Your work stays yours.

Most guide recorders send every screenshot to their servers before you've even looked at it. FlowShot has no servers to send them to.

Guides live in Chrome's local storage on your machine. No account to create, no workspace to join, nothing to sync.
Passwords and payment fields are skipped
Typing in a password or card input is never captured, so a step can't accidentally carry a secret.
Blur anything sensitive before you share
The Blur tool hides names, emails, or figures in a screenshot. Shared exports only contain the blurred version.
Export happens on this device
HTML, PDF, and backup files are written straight to your disk. You decide where the file goes and who receives it.

Trash, not delete

Guides and steps go to Trash first, so a slip is never permanent.

Best for keeping in your own folder — treat it like the original.
Keep a file copy anywhere. Save a guide to a folder of your choice, reveal it in Finder or File Explorer, and re-import it later — files stay separate from the autosaved library in your browser.
